SM1442 Metal Detectable Blue Silicone 60° Shore is high quality, blue, metal detectable silicone sheeting. An ideal material for use in the food industry and for demanding applications, it also has excellent heat and flame resistance, along with very good ageing and weathering characteristics.

A popular choice in the production of food and pharmaceuticals due to the material’s metal detectable nature, potential fragments of the sheeting can be picked up by metal detecting equipment and removed before they enter consumables or other products.

Finding fragments of silicone sheeting in food, drink and pharmaceutical products has become a worry for companies in the production industry. With this product, metal detectors will flag up any remnants of broken-down sheeting before they reach the end of the line. As a result, safety precautions can be implemented more efficiently.

Approved to FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, SM1442 Metal Detectable Blue Silicone is EU1935/2004 compliant.
